Our instructor Stanislav Kochergin and his partner Anastasia Florin performed at the spacious and elegant Famee Furlane banquet hall on Friday December 18, 2009 during their annual Holiday Party. The delighted guests applauded them with a standing ovation.

Dance With Us™ at Canada Dancesport

Congratulations to Stanislav and Anastasia for placing 4th in the Professional Championship Standard (WTVFQ) competition at Canada Dancesport 2009!

Dance With Us™ at Dansesport Montreal

Several members of Dance With Us boarded the Via train for Montreal the last weekend of June for the annual Dansesport Montreal competition organized by Pierre Allaire and Mireille Veilleux.

The results were fantastic: Tanya and Stas placed well in their Pro-Am Scholarship Standard competition, Rhonda and Stas won every single one of her single dance events, and Veronika and Stas won their 3-Dance Gold Championship Latin event. Just minutes later Stanislav and Anastasia rushed to prepare for their Professional Rising Star Standard competition. They finished second: an amazing result for their first competition as a professional team in Canada.

Still full of energy, Stanislav and Anastasia later closed the competition with their Latin/Standard medley showdance.

Dance With Us™ at Yankee Classic

Our instructor Stanislav Kochergin and his partner Anastasia Florin travelled to the Yankee Classic which took place June 18-21, 2009 in Boston, Massachusetts. They made the finals in Professional Rising Star Standard, placing 5th - an amazing results for their first competition together!

The Yankee Classic DanceSport Championships is an international event, attracting dancers from as far afield as Japan, Italy, Belgium, South Africa, Germany, Denmark, Australia, England, Ireland, Hungary, Spain, Russia and Slovenia.

Spring Dancesport Challenge 2009

Many members of Dance With Us ™ Studio participated in this competition in Mississauga in March 2009. Congratulations to Azam, Branka, Barbara, Jane, Rhonda and Tanya and the children Matthew & Nata, Luka and Daniel and their partners for their excellent results. Our instructors were busy too: Inessa participated as a judge at this event and Stanislav performed a successful pro showcase with his new partner Anastasia Florin. Moscow Nights Holiday Gala Enjoyed by All

Our Annual GALA took place on Sunday December 21, 2008 at Moscow Nights Restaurant (at 7700 Bathurst Street) that was closed to all but Dance-With-Us students. We enjoyed the five course dinner and dancing to the live band. Spotlight and express dances showcased the hard work of our students.

"Thank you Inessa and Stas. I had a wonderful time at The Gala. It was great to see and chat with all there. Food and Drinks flowed all night. Merry was the time. I am proud of all our dancers. Performances by our teachers gave us all something to strive for. A night to remember." - Jane

Dance With Us ™ Studio at Ohio Star Ball 2008

Dance-With-Us travelled to compete at the Ohio Star Ball in Columbus, Ohio the week of November 18-23, 2008. The largest dancesport competition in North America, the Ohio Star Ball is the competition that is televised yearly by PBS as the America's Ballroom Challenge.

Congratulations to our students Ken, Debbie, Branka, Jane, Jelena, and Tony who competed in many categories, some of whom even represented Canada in the Ohio Star Ball Team Match category!

Top Results at Maple Leaf Classic Dancesport Competition

Dance With Us ™ Studio participated in the Maple Leaf Classic Dancesport Competition held at the International Plaza Hotel in Toronto on November 9, 2008. The competition was well-attended with semi-finals in many categories. We were awarded top teachers awards and are very proud of our students, whose results included:

• Branka with Stas - first in American Rhythm Silver 3-Dance and American Rhythm 5-Dance Scholarship
• Mark with Inessa - second in American Rhythym Silver 3-Dance
• Kate with Stas - first in International Standard Bronze 3-Dance and International Latin Bronze 3-Dance
• Veronika with Stas - second in International Standard Silver 3-Dance and International Latin Silver 3-Dance

Congratulations also to Peter, Rhonda, Debbie and Ken who did very well in all their single dance events!

Top Results at Canada Dancesport

Stas took his students Veronika and Jelena to the International Canada Dancesport competition in Kingston, Ontario the weekend of September 18, 2008.

On Friday Veronika won all her Latin single-dance events and took first place in the Pro-Am 5-Dance Standard Scholarship as well!

On Saturday Jelena won both the Pro-Am 3-Dance and 5-Dance Latin Scholarship events, and several people came up to her from the audience to comment on how lovely she was to watch!

Open House September 13, 2008

On Saturday September 13, 2008 Dance-With-Us Studio presented and Open House with dancing and demonstrations from 2:30pm to 5:00pm. Information was provided about our Childrens', Teens', youth and Adult classes. Vistors enjoyed trying out some dance steps as well as complimentary snacks and refreshments.

Dance With Us ™ Auditions for "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" 2008

On June 8, 2008 Stas and Inessa, as his non-competing partner, tried out for the first Canadian version of "So You Think You Can Dance." The judges were so impressed by Stas' dancing and personality that they gave him a pass straight to the finals! >> Read More.

Dancesport Showcase August 17, 2008

Dance With Us ™ Studio organized a Pro-Am Showcase on Sunday August 17, 2008.

This event was planned to celebrate the achievements of students in latin and ballroom dancing. Our students had an opportunity to showcase their accomplishments within the setting of a competition, but without being ranked. Alan Armsby, renowned Dancesport Adjudicator, provided written feedback on all the student's performances. The showcase took place at the MDG Banquet Hall (Serbian Cultural Centre), 895 Rangeview Road, Mississuaga.
